The Nexus PHT-3600 is a quiet cooling solution for today's hottest P4 CPUs. The PHT-3600 cools at a very quiet 19 decibels (the manufacturer's official decibel rating). For Intel Pentium IV processors below 3.06 Ghz: you can use this noise reduction cable (NRC-1000) along with the Nexus PHT-3600 SkiveTek CPU Cooler to reduce the speed of the CPU cooler and bring the CPU Fan's noise output to significantly below 19 decibels. This noise reduction cable brings the fan voltage down from 12 Volt to 10 Volt and consequentially brings the fan speed down. The standard fan speed of the PHT-3600 is 2400 RPM (+- 10%). when using the noise reduction cable the fan speed is lowered to 1930 RPM (+- 10%). This lower RPM level results in an ever lower noise production!
